No jardim da Secretaria de Meio Ambiente Urbano e Natural da Prefeitura de Olinda, Pernambuco, Brasil uma beija-flor construiu seu ninho, e chocou seus ovos, cuidando dos filhotes até o voo deles. Já vi dois ninhos de beija-flor. Em todos dois cresceram dois filhotes.
