Français : D'origine très ancienne, Dunum est un lieu fortifié gaulois. Au Moyen Âge la seigneurie de Dun dépendait du vicomte de Bourges. En 1101, le dernier vicomte, Eudes de Dun surnommé Arpin, vendit sa vicomté à Philippe Ier pour pouvoir partir en croisade. Dun devint la troisième ville royale du Berry, prit le nom de Dun-le-Roi et Philippe Auguste la dota d'importantes fortifications. Dun-sur-Auron appartient à la route "Jacques Coeur". |
