[edit]DescriptionBedd Kyffin. Kyffin's Grave - geograph.org.uk - 1233584.jpg |
English: Bedd Kyffin. Kyffin's Grave This is the grave of the artist and popular Welsh figure, Sir Kyffin Williams. Kyffin is buried very much in home ground, He was the great-grandson of the Rev James Williams, vicar of this church, [as was James' father before him], and his wife, the water colourist Frances Williams. James and Frances Williams set up the lifeboat service in Anglesey, the first boat being stationed at nearby Cemlyn Bay. Both took active part in sea rescues, James being the coxswain of the Cemlyn boat. Frances would also row over the wild sound to the Skerries to deal with any sickness or injuries involving the lighthouse men and their families.
