Title
Beaded torc from Ryther
Description
English: Copper alloy

Beaded Torc or bracelet fragment. Four beads of a cast beaded torc, apparently made in one piece with a socket at one end of length 10mm and diameter 5mm; if the curvature of this piece is unaltered it would suggest an internal diameter of 120mm. The 'beads' are three-quarter spheres. A stud or nipple on the bead at the other end of the group may be intended to articulate with a further element. The interstices between beads bear narrow collars. Suggested date: late Iron Age to Early Roman, 100BC-AD 200.

Length: 39.8mm, Diameter/Width: 11.1mm, Weight: 16.26gms.
