Bazentin (Somme, Picardie, France) - Tombe au cimetière. La photo originale (communiquée par Chantal SAVARY à Marc ROUSSEL pour publication) a ici été retaillée et manipulée numériquement pour mieux dévoiler les motifs décoratifs gravés dans la pierre de la stèle. Les zones en creux y apparaissent en noir. Le traitement numérique de la photo (avec bascule en noir et blanc) est porteur par contre d'une information qui pourrait induire l'observateur en erreur : il semblerait en effet que la partie centrale de la stèle, dans l'axe de la croix qui la surmonte, soit renflée, plus épaisse, donnant l'impression d'un cylindre supportant la croix et "noyé" dans la pierre ! Il n'en est rien ! La surface de la stèle est parfaitement plane ! Cette impression de volume correspond seulement à une différence de couleur de la pierre, due au ruissellement. Il est à noter que le cimetière est assez humide, du moins ombragé, car implanté le long d'un bois. |
