Description
English: From left, Jay Dardenne, lieutenant governor of Louisiana, stands alongside Lt. Gen. Richard P. Mills, commander of Marine Forces Reserve and Marine Forces North, before the start of the 40th annual Bayou Classic game Nov. 30, 2013, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. For 39 years, the Bayou Classic has showcased the long-standing rivalry between the Southern University Jaguars and the Gambling State University Tigers. The United States Marine Corps has been a partner of the Bayou Classic for 13 consecutive years in celebration of the hard work, courage and commitment to excellence exhibited by its many participants. The Marines' presence at the game also reinforced the Corps' mission to interact and attract a more ethnic demographic. (Photo by Cpl. Octavia Davis)
