Description
English: Illustration for the poem "The Bay of the Dead" by Morgan George Watkins. It is based on a Breton legend connected with the Baie des Trépassés, and tells about a sailor who had the task of ferrying the dead from Brittany to an island off Cornwall, and what happened when, on his wedding day, his wife hindered him from carrying out his job. Once a Week, Volume 8, page 546.
