Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Built in 1877, this Italianate and Gothic Revival-style building is known as the Bassett & Davies Building. The building is clad in buff brick with arched window openings with one-over-one double-hung windows, stone sills, cast iron corinthian fluted columns at the ground floor retail storefront, a central gabled parapets on the Ludington Street facade, a bracketed cornice with paneling, an intact first floor retail shopfront with gothic arched bays resting on the corinthian engaged columns and doric brick pilasters, and a somewhat matching building to the southwest, which was built eleven years prior. The building is a contributing structure in the Columbus Downtown Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.
