Description
Deutsch: Basel, Petersgraben — Hinweistafel zur ehem. Klosteranlage (Kloster der Clarissinnen) bzw. Gewerbeschule bzw. Gewerbemuseum
- Auf dieser Hofstatt -
stand im dreizehnten Jahrhundert
das erste Kloster der Barfüsser
in Basel. Dann das Kloster
der Schwestern von St. Bernhard.
Dann bis zur Reformation
Das Kloster der Clarissinnen
-genannt Gnadenthal. -
Jm Jahre 1574 wurde die Klosterkirche
- in ein Kornhaus umgebaut. -
Jm Jahre 1899 beschloss der Grosse Rat
die Errichtung eines Gebäudes
für die Allgemeine Gewerbeschule
und das Gewerbemuseum an dieser
- Stelle. -
Jm gleichen Jahre wurde das alte
- Gebäude niedergelegt. -
