Description

Date: Circa 1910 Source Type: Postcard Printer, Publisher, Photographer: Unknown Postmark: None Collection: Steven R. Shook Remark: The Sisters of Providence School of the Sacred Heart Mission was located on the Coeur d'Alene Indian Reservation in Benewah County, Idaho. The large building on the right side of this image is the Convent of Mary Immaculate, which served as the school on the reservation. This structure was completely destroyed by fire on February 3, 2011. When fire investigators were searching for the cause of the blaze, human remains were found in the rubble.
