Description
English: Baryte, Fluorite
Locality: Rock Candy Mine, Grand Forks, Greenwood Mining Division, British Columbia, Canada (Locality at mindat.org)
Size: 11.2 x 9.4 x 5.1 cm.
This is a classic combo from the Rock Candy Mine in British Columbia: platy, light blue-grey barites with translucent purple fluorite. The translucent lavender fluorite crystals are incredibly intricate, looking up-close like assemblages of hundreds of tiny cubes stacked in layers. The barites are nicely isolated on the fluorite in a good balance, standing on edge, with white edges and translucent faces.
