Description
Svenska: Barn framför skofabriken Rex efter branden, Örebro 1942. Fabriken byggdes 1913 och ägdes av Erik Åqvist, E Dubois och Kihlander. Man tillverkade vändsydda, randsydda samt klistrade herr- och damskor. Arbetsstyrkan bestod på 1920-talet av ca 100 personer. 1942 drabbades fabriken av en stor brand och de då 130 anställda blev utan arbete. Fabriken återuppbyggdes och driften kom igång igen år 1945 och pågick därefter till 1981. Efter att en tid ha inhyst andra rörelser byggdes den gamla fabriksbyggnaden senare under 80-talet om till bostäder. DigitaltMuseum ID 0210113094670
