Barbed and tanged arrowhead
Description
English: A flint barbed and tanged arrowhead dating from the Beaker Period to the Middle Bronze Age, about 2400 BC - 1000 BC. The arrowhead is formed on light grey flint speckled with patina. It is triangular with rounded and tapering notches in the base to divide the barbs and tang. Both barbs are broken off and the breaks are patinated. The tang has an oblique terminal. The arrowhead has bifacial scaled, low angle retouch, covering on one face, but only at the edges on the reverse. It is 28.6mm long, 21.2mm wide and 4.4mm thick.1.81g.
