Description
English: Located in the sprawling Lodhi Garden area, Bara Gumbad, also referred to as "Big Dome" is a large dome which was built in the year 1940. It is said to be the first mosque which was constructed in Delhi. You may be a little surprised to know that there are no tombstone inside the Gumbad. Legends have their say that it was created to serve as a connecting port for Friday mosque which was built almost during the same time.
