English: In 1904, this range was on sale at HW Myers Hardware, in Tacoma, Washington. Tacoma Times, Vol. 1, No. 21, January 13, 1904, page 4.
"The RESERVOIR, which holds 10 gallons, is made of heavy nickel-plated copper, and on the side nearest the Range is provided with a cast pocket, which extends through an opening in the range and to the fire chamber, and receives heat directly from the fire. This pocket is enameled to prevent discoloration of the water. The Reservoir Top is flush with the range top and the lift-up covers are also flush, so that as these are kept warm by the hot water beneath, a very convenient hot shelf is the result. THE PORTABLE RESERVOIR ATTACHMENT is supported by substantial ORNAMENTAL BRACKETS, and may be applied to any SQUARE RANGE." |
