Description This plan includes Port Penrhyn, which was renowned for the export of slate quarried at Bethesda. The expansive area referenced “Mr Pennant’s property shown in brown” alludes to lands of the Penrhyn estate. An inset map of the district displays the borough and parish boundaries and includes the eastern portions of the Menai Straits, Menai Bridge and the newly built Penrhyn Castle
