English: The 1st Battalion, 37th Armored Regiment, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, forward deployed to Europe, marks a significant transition as Command Sgt. Maj. Aiava Selau Jr. relinquishes responsibility, and Command Sgt. Maj. Mark V. Lavender assumes leadership during a Change of Responsibility ceremony in Grafenwöhr, Germany on Oct. 13, 2023. In a show of unity and camaraderie, soldiers across various command gather to pay homage to the time-honored tradition, as well as bidding farewell to a superb leader, reinforcing the core values of the Army.
