Description
فارسی: بندر کُنگ یکی از شهرهای بخش مرکزی شهرستان بندر لنگه در استان هرمزگان واقع در جنوب ایران است. بیشتر اهل کنگ به زبان فارسی تکلم می‌کنند، اما نوشته‌های آنها به زبان عربی است و نامه‌ها و سندها را به زبان عربی تدوین می‌نمایند.

۵۸هکتار از بافت تاریخی بندر کنگ (که تقریبا یک دوازدهم از مساحت کل شهر را شامل می‌شود) سال۸۱ در فهرست آثار ملی ثبت شده است. همچنین مقدمات ثبت شدن بندرکنگ در فهرست میراث جهانی یونسکو نیز در حال انجام است. بندر کنگ در گذشته یکی از مراکز مهم ساخت لنج های سنتی و چوبی بوده است و ناخدا ها از دیگر بنادر جنوب برای خرید لنج به این بندر می آمدند.

شغل اکثریت مردم این بندر با دریا و دریانوردی در ارتباط است . در گذشته از این بندر به نقاط مختلف مثل بصره ، مسقط ، هندوستان و آفریقا سفر میشد و تبادل تجاری با این کشور ها وجود داشت. از این رو برخی فرهنگ ها و آداب نیز از آنجا وارد فرهنگ مردم این بندر گردید.
