L. E. Earlj^wine, statistical clerk in thesuperintendents office, has resigned to accept aposition with the Central Electric Associationand his resignation has caused a change in thebatting order of the office force. Leslie Aumanis the new man to join the force. E. E. Townsend, the oldest passenger en-gineer (in point of service) on the SpringfieldDivision, is taking a long deferred vacation,and with Mrs. Townsend is making an ex-tended trip through the west. Elmer will visita brother in Portland, Oregon, and the PanamaExposition before his return.

Watson, President Wheelwright and the officers and directors of the Consolidati<Mi Coal Co. together with a number of Baltimore and New York Bankers who had inspected the mines and properties of the Elkhorn Mining Corporation in Eastern Kentucky.
