Title
Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Bridge, circa 1911
Description
The photograph is a view from an elevation above the tops of buildings pictured in photo, such as Henkel's Flour and the Case Fish Company Wholesale Fish. The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad bridge is up at an angle, prominent in the foreground; small figures stand on the bridge a all levels. One figure appears to be hanging from the edge. Some of the figures and detail in the bridge have been embellished with ink, while the figure holding a line at the top of the construction appears to have been added to the image. A handwritten notation on the verso reads: "Facing south from High Level Bridge/Erecting B &O jacknife bridge." A date of 2/3/11 is inscribed on verso as well, but may not represent when the image was taken.
