Description

El carguero Baltic Breeze amarrado el 1 de abril de 2014 en la Estación Marítima de Vigo. La noche anterior, este carguero y el pesquero Mar de Marín colisionaban en la bocana sur de la Ría de Vigo. El incidente ha dejado tres muertos y dos desaparecidos en el momento de elaborar este vídeo.

El Baltic Breeze es uno de tantos cargueros de transporte de coches que hacen escala en Vigo para transportar, entre otros, los vehículos fabricados en la planta que tiene Citröen en la ciudad. El barco tiene un desplazamiento de 29.979 toneladas, 164 metros de eslora, 28 de manga y 7,20 de calado máximo. Está propulsado por un motor diesel con el que puede alcanzar una velocidad de 18 nudos. Posee diez cubiertas tiene capacidad para 3.242 coches.
