| Description |
English: Balranald Visitor Centre A busy day at the RSPB Centre at Balranald. The centre was un-manned and there were no self-guided walks leaflets available, so visitors were wandering in no particular direction over the machair, which was beautiful in the sunshine. Birds were thin-on-the-ground (and in the air), but there were butterflies in abundance (countless Painted Ladies - which never reach Tyneside, where I lived for many years, till late August - how come they're in the Hebrides now?!). |
