Summary
[edit]DescriptionBalmoral Cemetery - geograph.org.uk - 1019830.jpg |
English: Balmoral Cemetery Part of Balmoral Cemetery in south Belfast. Now a recognised historical site, no burials appear to have taken place for some time. Thankfully the cemetery appears to be maintained to a high standard and most of the gravestones (mainly 19th and early 20th century) are in good order. See http://www.belfastcity.gov.uk/cemeteries/cemeterydetails.asp?id=60 for a brief history and more information (I will add that despite what Belfast City Council state, the cemetery is not always open from dawn to dusk. In fact, I tried to enter several times but always found the gates locked and had to email the council to get access). |
