Description
Svenska: Ballonghallen i Boden, sommaren 2017.

1914 stod ballonghallen klar och på hösten samma år genomfördes den första ballongflygningen. Ballongen var en tyskbyggd drakballong med 750 kubikmeters volym, 26,75 meter lång och med 6,65 meters diameter. Ballongens vinchlina var 1000 meter och förankrad i en kabelvagn. Ballongen fylldes med 750 kubikmeter gas, som tillverkades i ett gasverk insprängt i berget i närheten av ballonghallen. Ballongverksamheten avvecklades 1938.

Ballonghallen, den enda i Sverige, är ett statligt byggnadsminne och används idag av försvaret som förråd
