Português: O governador Aécio Neves apresentou, nesta quinta-feira (14/05), balanço do primeiro ano da Campanha Proteja Nossas Crianças, criada ano passado para incentivar a sociedade a denunciar atos de violência doméstica e exploração sexual de crianças e adolescentes. De maio de 2008 a abril deste ano, o Disque Direitos Humanos (0800311119) recebeu 2.879 denúncias, o que representa aumento de 49,5% em relação ao mesmo período do ano anterior quando não havia campanha. Durante a solenidade, realizada no Palácio da Liberdade, o governador entregou 30 carros e 250 computadores para reforçar o atendimento dos conselhos tutelares de 250 municípios mineiros, órgãos responsáveis por receber as denúncias e fiscalizar o cumprimento dos direitos das crianças e adolescentes.

Ao final do evento, o governador adesivou alguns carros na avenida Cristovão Colombo com o Disque Direitos Humanos, da Campanha Proteja.
