Merknad: Trondhjem med Bakke bro. Utsyn over Trondheim mot vest omkring 1920. En ser Bakke bro fra 1887 med den ensporede trikken fra 1901, bryggerekken "flatbryggene" i Kjøpmansgaten. En rekke nye bygninger tra tiden 1900-1920 medførte en del endringer i det gamle bybildet dominert av 2-etasjes trehus. Dagens Bakke bro fikk sin form i slutten av 1920-årene. Nord for broen står nærmest Heggstadbryggen revet 1982,de øvrige brant i 1967. På sørsiden finner vi byens eldste gjenværende brygger -nr 2 og 3 regnet fra broen. De er fra slutten av 1600 tallet. Legg merke til bryggenes åpne svalgang (noen er blitt gjenbygd). Denne svalgang ble brukt som promenade opp mot 1900. Utenfor Ørens Mek.Verk. ligger hurtigruten "Ragnvald Jarl" til kai, utenfor Verftstomten sees såvidt akterenden på skoleskipet "Tordenskiold". Av bygninger sees bl.a. murgårdene i Kjøpmandsgaten fra tida etter bybrannen i 1841, "Blåkorsgården" fra 1904 og deler av annlegget til Jacob Halseths Dampbakeri - et av byens største daverende foretak.
