Description
English: Baird Hall and Slee Hall, respectfully. Baird Hall houses classrooms, faculty offices, a music library, two rehearsal halls, and 64 practice rooms for the Department of Music. Its modern recital hall—complete with three-part continuous seating, footlights, klieg lights, and a control room—frequently hosts performance events. Upon entering the 700-seat Lippes Auditorium in Slee Hall for the first time, most visitors stand in awe of the beautiful Fisk organ towering over the stage area. Slee Hall also houses, two rehearsal rooms, a recording studio, an electronic music room, and UB's Department of Music and frequently hosts major musical performers, prominent guest artists, and lecturers from all over the world.
