English: The normal size of the Aegle marmelos (Bael) fruit is generally the size of orange or cricket ball. However, here is much bigger on measuring 8"x 6" with green colour turning golden brown on ripening and weighs about 1200 gms, found in Dhule city , Maharashtra, India. It has medicinal properties and this size fruit yielding plants are rare. The pulp is rosy brown and sweetish bitter taste and can be eaten as such or with little sweetening. Helps digestion and improves immunity, reflexes. |
