Description
English: Autograph manuscript of the title page of Bach's Cantata No. 56, "Ich will den Kreuzstab gerne tragen", BWV 56; the word "Kreuz" is replaced by the Greek letter chi, χ, the rebus of the cross, used by Bach to symbolize the paradox of the cross. The image file was dezoomified and then cropped using GIMP software.
