Launched in 1967, the Bantam Sports used the Bantam D10A engine, an air cooled 173cc 2-stroke with a four-speed gearbox. Compared with the previous D7 engine the compression ratio was increased from 7.4 to 8.65, and a larger concentric carburettor, and bigger "pancake" type air filter increased power to 10 bhp. |
