DescriptionBSAG soldier shoots a M9.jpg | A Belizean soldier assigned to the Belize Special Assignment Group (BSAG) fires his M-9 pistol at a row of mounted steel pop-up plates as part of a speed shoot exercise during a recent advanced marksmanship range session near Belize City, Belize. The timed exercise allows BSAG soldiers to improve on their speed and accuracy as they tried to knock down six steel plates as quickly as possible. Exercises like this are used by members of the Operational Detachment-Alpha, a group of U.S. Special Forces members from the 7th SF Group, to hone the military skills of their Belizean counterparts. The ODA is conducting counter-narcotics training with the Belizean Defence Forces in order to increase their ability to deter trafficking through Belize. | ||||
