Description
English: U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Brian Sardinha, center, Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), assault amphibious vehicle section leader and native of Ellington, Conn., recites the oath of enlistment after being promoted to his current rank during a ceremony aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Gunston Hall (LSD 44). The 22nd MEU is deployed with the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group as a theater reserve and crisis response force throughout U.S. Central Command and the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
