Summary
[edit]DescriptionAwe Viaduct (13326654455).jpg |
Disappointingly, it’s not listed. I know it’s nothing of any particular special architectural or historical interest, but its contribution to the character of the railway and this landscape context is significant. The seven-span lattice girder viaduct on rustic ashlar piers dates to 1878-9 and the Callander and Oban railway, which it carries, opened in 1880. The contractors were W & T Adams. |
