Averdon (Loir-et-Cher) Réserve Naturelle de Grand-Pierre et Vitain. Le pacage des moutons permet d'entretenir la prairie. Les herbivores domestiques ont pris le relais des grands herbivores préhistoriques disparus, dans l'entretien des milieux ouverts. L’élevage ovin a un rôle majeur dans le maintien et le développement de la biodiversité, grâce à la présence de prairies. La Réserve Naturelle des Vallées de Grand-Pierre et Vitain utilise des moutons Solognots (race rustique) pour la gestion de ses 12 ha de pelouses calcicoles. |
