Description
English: RABAUL, NEW BRITAIN, 1946-03-16. A PANORAMIC VIEW OF THE CHINESE CEMETERY. OF THE 653 CHINESE WHO DIED WHILST CAPTIVES OF THE JAPANESE, 259 WERE RE-INTERRED IN THIS CEMETERY. IT CONTAINS VACANT LOTS FOR BODIES YET TO BE FOUND IN THE HILLS. THE NEAT GROUNDS, ROWS OF MARKED GRAVES AND AN INSCRIBED MEMORIAL MONUMENT WERE DEDICATED IN A SPECIAL CEREMONY ATTENDED BY AUSTRALIAN ARMY, CHINESE ARMY AND CHINESE COMMUNITY.
