Description
Deutsch: Das 35 m tiefe Speicherbecken in Oberuntersberg, Gemeinde St. Veit im Pongau, Land Salzburg, Österreich, ist Teil des Flusskraftwerkes Schwarzach (im Pongau). 2010 wurde es zwecks Sanierung geleert, der alte Asphaltbelag abgefräst und mit einem neuen Belag aus Spritzbeton und einer Spezialmischung wasserdichten Asphalts versehen. Die Arbeiten erforderten entsprechende Fachkenntnisse, spezielle Maschinen und eine Seilsicherung. Bei der Beckensanierung fielen 12.000 Kubikmeter Geschiebematerial an, das entsorgt werden musste. Das Speicherbecken dient zum Ausgleich der für den Betrieb des Kraftwerkes benötigten Wassermengen. Im Sommer, wenn hohe Wasserführung der Salzach den Durchflussbetrieb im Kraftwerk ermöglicht, ist der Speicher oft fast leer. Im Winter ist er eher voll, um den Beckeninhalt bei Niedrigwasser des Flusses in Stromspitzenzeiten zur Stromerzeugung einsetzen zu können.
English: The water reservoir situated in Oberuntersberg in the municipality of St. Veit im Pongau, Salzburg (state), Austria, is part of the system of the power station Schwarzach im Pongau which is based on the water of the river Salzach. The water reservoir helps to stabilize the amount of water which is needed for the running of the power plant. 2010 it had to be redeveloped.
