We should select clean, useful, honorable vocations; those which willelevate us and give us a chance for self-improvement, for manhood is greaterthan wealth, grander than fame, and character is greater than any career.Many a man has dwarfed his manhood, cramped his intellect, crushed hisaspirations, and blunted his finer sensibilities on some mean, narrow occupa-tion just because there was money in it.
