Inscriptions: Inscription in left border, at top: PAX AVG [=PAX AUGUSTA] Inscriptions: Inscription in right border, at top: VIC AV[G] [=VICTORIA AUGUSTA] Woman with message kneels before enthroned Octavian Augustus, 2 soldiers & another woman surround emperor; body of Caesar lies in state in background (L & R BRD) grotesques & military trophies with twisting garlands of flowers interspersed with vases & winged figures, inscriptions at top; (UPR & LWR BRD) empty cartouche in center flanked birds & garlands of flowers & fruit Lower border either added or removed by French & Co. Also, right side of soldier on far right cut out of panel.
