Rückseite: S P Q R / IMP CAE // [L] VINICIVS. Dreitoriger Triumphbogen mit Aufschrift auf der zentralen Attika, bekrönt von Augustus als Triumphator in frontaler Quadriga. Auf dem l. Seitenbogen ein Orientale mit Bogen, auf dem r. ein weiterer mit Legionsadler und Bogen.

Kommentar: Vs. mit Kratzspuren. - Mit beiden Münzseiten ehrt L. Vinicius den Princeps. Der von Senat und Volk gestiftete Ehrenbogen der Rückseite erinnert an Erfolge des Jahres 20 v. Chr. im Osten, als von den Parthern Feldzeichen den Römer zurückgegeben wurde und in Armenien ein pro-römischer König inthronisiert werden konnte. Der sogenannte Partherbogen befand sich antiken Quellen zufolge auf dem Forum Romanum nahe dem Divus Iulius-Tempel. Da Fundament und Bauteile ergraben worden sind, lässt sich nachweisen, dass L. Vinicius eine recht getreue Wiedergabe des Bauwerkes gibt.
