Description
Deutsch: Basis einer Statue, die dem Senator Attius Caecilius Maximilianus signo Pancharius gewidmet wurde. Die Basis war in Rom, an der heutigen Via dei Fori Imperiali, in der Nähe der Maxentiusbasilika und dem Tempel der Venus und der Roma aufgestellt. Attius Caecilius Maximilianus war als Praefectus annonae im Jahr 357 für die Lebensmittelversorgung der Stadtbevölkerung Roms zuständig. Anlässlich des Einzugs (Adventus) Kaiser Constantius II. im gleichen Jahr war er zusätzlich mit der Versorgung der kaiserlichen Truppen für die Dauer ihres Aufenthalts verantwortlich (CIL VI 41332). Die Basis ist in den Kapitolinischen Museen in Rom ausgestellt.
English: Attius Caecilius Maximilianus signo Pacharius, illustrious senator, quaestor, praetorian candidate, prefect of the treasury of Saturn and simultaneously responsible for the aqueducts and the water suppy, governor of Lucania and Bruttium, prefect of the annoa for the city of Rome, for having distributed with diligence and ingenuity alimentary goods in abudance, both to the people and the valorous army, during his visit 357 AD to Rome of Constantius II. The base is exhibited in the Capitoline Museums in Rome.
