Description
English: Ato de filiação do presidente do Senado Federal, senador Rodrigo Pacheco (MG) ao Partido Social Democrático (PSD).

A cerimônia de filiação acontece no Memorial Juscelino Kubitschek. A escolha do local, segundo o partido, é uma referência ao ex-presidente Juscelino Kubistchek (1956-1961).

Com a filiação, o PSD passa a contar com os três senadores que representam Minas Gerais. No Senado Federal, o PSD passa a ter 12 senadores, a segunda maior bancada da Casa.

Advogado, Rodrigo Pacheco foi criado na cidade de Passos, no Sul de Minas Gerais, tem 44 anos e sólida experiência jurídica. Está em seu primeiro mandato como senador, depois de ter exercido um mandato como deputado federal (2015-2018), quando presidiu a Comissão de Constituição e Justiça da Câmara dos Deputados, considerada a mais importante comissão da Casa. Em fevereiro deste ano foi eleito presidente do Senado.
