English: This picture shows the southern side of Atalaya Castle in Huntington Beach State park. The castle is located in Murrells Inlet, SC. They have tours of the castle for a nominal fee, once the park admission has been paid.

The castle was home to Archer and Anna Huntington, it was their winter residence. The wrought iron grills on the windows served as hurricane protection. Atalaya means "Watchtower" in Spanish. During WWII, Atalaya was used as a barracks for the US Air Corps.
