Summary
[edit]DescriptionArtist at Felipe IV statue at Plaza de Oriente in Madrid (32431970861).jpg |
This statue's CV is so impressive that I'll just refer you to the link that tells the tale ... www.madrid-tourist.com/madrid-attractions/Statue-Philip-I... ... as I doubt you'd believe me otherwise. Galileo himself did the fancy figurin' on how to support the bronze statue on the horse's hind legs. He said it would stand forever. 'Forever' is a rather long time, but he's been right so far, for nearly four centuries. The artist's CV may be as impressive as the statue's, for all I know. We didn't chat. |
