Description
English: A Sailor attached to the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) surfs an artificial wave pool during a USO water park tour during a port visit in the Middle East. Truman and embarked Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 3 are on a regularly scheduled deployment in support of maritime security operations. MSO help set the conditions for security and stability in the maritime environment, as well as complement the counterterrorism and security efforts of regional nations. These operations seek to disrupt violent extremists use of the maritime environment as a venue for attack or as a transport for personnel, weapons or other materials.
