Description
English: IWM caption : The Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of 2nd TAF, Air Marshal Sir Arthur Coningham, makes his farewell speech to airmen and airwomen of the Air Formation Signals with his Headquarters Unit, at 2nd TAF Headquarters, Bad Eilsen, Germany. 2nd TAF was disbanded on 15 July 1945 to be replaced by British Air Forces of Occupation (BAFO). Coningham was appointed Air Officer Commanding in Chief, Flying Training Command, in October 1945.
