Arn Chorn-Pond with flute vendor boy at Ta Prohm 1999-12-03

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Angkor, Cambodia, December 1999. Arn Chorn-Pond walks with a young flute vendor in Ta Prohm monument in Angkor. The Cambodian bamboo flute, or khloy, is a common tourist purchase. But this young salesman did no know that he was trying to sell one to a man so well known internationally for playing the instrument that the documentary about him is titled 'The Flute Player'. In 1998 Arn started Cambodian Master Performers Program to help Khmer musicians pass their knowledge to students.
