Description
English: A Man SV Recovery Vehicle pulling out a bogged down Jackal during an exercise.

Army Reserves from 103 Battalion REME training in the UK before deploying to Poland as part the UK’s commitment to NATO enhanced Forward Presence (eFP) in Eastern Europe.

The soldiers will provide vehicle and weapon systems equipment support to the Royal Yeomanry and 1st The Queen’s Dragoons Guards, who together will form a Squadron of around 150 troops.

The six-month tour will see the soldiers integrate with the United States, 2nd Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment Battlegroup - one of four NATO multinational battlegroups currently deployed in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland.

The Squadron will form part of NATO deterrence posture by demonstrating its determination and ability to act as one in response to any aggression against its members.

While deployed, the soldiers will be using three vehicles - Jackal 2, Coyote and Panther along with a variety of specialist support vehicles.
