English: Detention center at ul. Sądowa in Zabrze - a complex of prison buildings of the second Royal Prussian Prison built in the 1880s. The prison building was modeled on the penitentiary complex - the "Moabit" cell prison in Berlin. The layout of the prison building has remained virtually unchanged to this day. It is a cruciform building. After World War II, there was a penal and investigative facility there, housing almost 300 prisoners; Convicts and temporary prisoners were kept there. The detention center operated until March 2018, after which it was closed permanently; Several films and series were shot inside, including: “25 years of innocence. The case of Tomek Komenda", "Rojst" or "Najmro. He loves, steals and respects. The capacity of the Zabrze Remand Center was estimated at 290 places. The facility includes a residential pavilion, two administrative buildings and a utility building. Prisoners had seven walking fields at their disposal. The entire prison complex is fenced wall.
Polski: Areszt śledczy przy ul. Sądowej w Zabrzu - kompleks budynków więziennych dwnego Królewsko-Pruskiego Więzienia zbudowanego w latach 80 XIX w. Budynek więzienia był wzorowany na kompleksie penitencjarnym – więzieniu celkowym „Moabit” w Berlinie. Układ budynku więzienia do czasów obecnych pozostał praktycznie bez zmian. Jest to budowla na planie krzyża. Po II wojnie światowej funkcjonowała w nim placówka karno-śledcza, w której przebywało prawie 300 więźniów.; Przebywali w nim skazani, a także aresztowani tymczasowo. Areszt funkcjonował do marca 2018 r. po czym został zamknięty na stałe; Wewnątrz realizowano zdjęcia do kilku filmów i seriali, m.in. „25 lat niewinności. Sprawa Tomka Komendy”, „Rojst” czy „Najmro. Kocha, kradnie szanuje”.
Pojemność Aresztu Śledczego w Zabrzu została określona na 290 miejsc. W skład obiektu wchodzą pawilon mieszkalny, dwa budynki administracyjne oraz budynek gospodarczy. Więźniowie do dyspozycji mieli siedem pól spacerowych. Cały kompleks więzienny jest ogrodzony murem. |
