| Description |
English: Sign on the south-eastern bank of the lake Arendsee in Germany. The German inscription tells about a (repeated) collapse of the ground in 1685, in which the lake's surface increased to its current form and area. In this event, the mill of the village sank in the lake. Later, two millstones were recovered. The point in the water is marked with a buoy.
Deutsch: Hinweisschild am südöstlichen Ufer des Arendsees auf einen (wiederholten) Einbruch des Untergrundes im Jahr 1685, bei dem sich die Seefläche auf die heutigen Ausmaße (siehe Angabe) vergrößerte. Bei diesem Ereignis versank die Mühle des Ortes im See. Die Stelle im Wasser, an der später zwei Mühlsteine geborgen wurden, ist mit einer Boje markiert. |
