Summary

[edit]
Description

Arecibo Observatory is the home of the largest single dish radio telescope on Earth. Since October 2011, the NSF facility has been operated by the research institute SRI International, Universities Space Research Association (USRA), and Universidad Metropolitana, a private university in San Juan. Looking up from the dish offers another view of the giant dome that houses secondary reflectors that focus incoming signals.
